Wayne State University has a special license agreement with Microsoft that allows students currently enrolled at WSU to purchase Microsoft Office and Windows at significant discounts.

Licensing Distribution and Use

  • All currently enrolled, full and part time WSU students are allowed to purchase software under the Microsoft Student Select Program.
  • Students are allowed to purchase one license per product version.
  • Each product CD-ROM allows a user to install the product up to two times on a single computer.
  • All sales are final. There are no returns except in the case of defective CD-ROMs.
  • When a WSU student purchases a software product under this program, the product becomes the property of the student. Their use of the product will not terminate or expire when they're no longer a Wayne State student.
