| Can I order
any software I want through the Software Clearinghouse? |
| No. The Software Clearinghouse is designed
to distribute software that will appeal to a wide audience
throughout the Wayne State University campus. Specialized
or minimum order software requests should be directed to Purchasing.

| Once I submit
the online order, how do I obtain my software? |
| Once the Software Clearinghouse receives your
online order, we will send your software to you via campus mail. Please call us if you prefer to
pick up your order. We are located at 5425 Woodward Avenue,
north of Kirby on the west side of the street, and can be reached
by phone at 577-4060.

| Can I buy
software from the Software Clearinghouse with a personal check
and take it home for personal use? |
| No. Wayne State University receives discounted
prices because it is a higher education institute. Software
purchased by the University must be used for work related
to the University. If home use is allowed with the software
you purchase from the Software Clearinghouse, it should be
used for work related purposes.

| Can I pay
for software with a credit card? |
| Not at this time. The Software Clearinghouse
accepts IRBs and personal checks only.

| What is your
return policy? |
| If the media is defective the Software Clearinghouse
will exchange the media for a new copy.

How do I obtain a CD-ROM to install Norton Anti-virus (NAV)
software on my home computer? |
| You must be eligible to use NAV at home, which
means you must be the primary user (>80%) of a computer
at work. The technical support staff in your unit will give
you a CD-ROM to take home after you have signed a WSU Sub-license
agreement. If you do not know who to contact for technical
support, call the C&IT Help Desk at 313-577-4778.

| Can I purchase
a new PC without any Windows operating system software and buy
Windows through the Microsoft Select Agreement or the Microsoft
Pilot Campus Agreement? |
| No. Operating system software offered through
the Microsoft Select agreement and the Microsoft Campus Agreement
are upgrades only.

| Can I purchase
a new PC for work without any Microsoft applications software
and buy all I need through the Microsoft Select or Campus Agreement? |
| Yes. Educational Resources sells
a full range of Microsoft applications software available
through the Microsoft Select Agreement. If your School/College
participates in the Microsoft Campus Agreement some software
packages are available to the eligible employee. Refer to
our Microsoft web page for contact person, ordering information,
and licensing restrictions. |
