Adobe/Macromedia® Software
With the aquisition of Macromedia by Adobe, Wayne State University departments are now eligible to purchase licenses for the following Adobe and Macromedia products under Wayne State's licensing program:
- Creative Suite Premium v2 - includes Acrobat Professional 7.0, GoLive CS 2, Illustrator CS 2, InDesign CS 2, Photoshop CS 2, Version Cue CS 2, Adobe Bridge, Adobe Stock Photoz
- Acrobat Professional, v7.0 - used to convert documents into PDF files and create electronic form
- GoLive CS2 - Used to make and maintain web page
- Illustrator CS2 - Used to make artwork for web, print and presentations
- InDesign CS2 - Used to make page layout and design
- Photoshop CS2 - used to create and edit images
- Macromedia's Studio 8 - Studio 8 is a suite which includes Dreamweaver 8, Flash Pro 8, Fireworks 8, Contribute 3, and Flash Paper 2

Adobe License Distribution and Use
University personnel who are eligible to obtain Adobe licensing include:
- Full and part-time faculty and staff who receive a WSU paycheck
- This does not include Voluntary Faculty, Retirees, etc. Please call if you are unsure about your eligibility.
- Students are not allowed to license this software through the Software Clearinghouse.
Use of the software is permitted only:
- On hardware owned or leased by Wayne State, located on Wayne State University premises.
- On home computers and laptops of WSU faculty and staff for work-related purposes.
When an employee leaves Wayne State University, they are no longer entitled to use Adobe software purchased at the Software Clearinghouse. The software should be removed from the employee's computer and destroyed or returned to the Software Clearinghouse.
Operating System Requirements
Each Adobe product has specific operating requirements for both Windows and Mac platforms. For more specific system requirements refer the Adobe's Web site at www.adobe.com. The minimum setup requirements compatible with most Adobe products is as follows:
- Windows
- Intel Pentium III, or 4 processor
- Microsoft® Windows® 2000 with Service Pack 4, or Windows XP with Service Pack 1 or 2
- 192 MB of RAM
- 470 MB of available hard-disk space
- 1,024x768 monitor resolution with 16-bit video card (24-bit screen display recommended)
- CD-ROM drive
- Macintosh
- PowerPC Processor G4, or G5
- Mac OS version 10.2.4 or higher
- 192 MB of RAM
- 470 MB of available hard-disk space

You will need to order a license as well as media to install the software. One set of media may be used for multiple installations. One license covers the installation of the software on ONE work machine, and ONE machine at home for work-related purposes.
Quantities of products in stock are limited. Contact the Software Clearinghouse at 577-4060 to confirm that your order can be filled.

Ordering Software
To begin the online ordering process you will need:
- IRB or personal check number
- Computer serial number
- End User's AccessID
- The primary user(s) of the software must log into Calltracker by clicking the "Buy Software" button below, select a purchase option (Microsoft Home Use Software, or All Other Software), and fill out an online order for the desired software.
- One order ticket can be filled out for multiple types of software.
- Each user must enter their own order and accept the End User Agreement but multiple users with different software orders can use the same IRB number.
- Students lab orders should use one computer serial number. The additional serial numbers should be sent in a Microsoft Excel document and returned via e-mail to clearinghouse@wayne.edu.
- After entering your order online, send the encumbered IRB or check (made out to "Wayne State University") to the Software Clearinghouse.

- After the physical IRB paperwork AND the online order is received, the Software Clearinghouse will mail your software by Campus Mail.
If you would prefer to pick up your software, please note this preference on your IRB form or check.
Please note that all software orders are final. Once software leaves the Clearinghouse, it cannot be returned or exchanged. If you have questions about software or ordering it, please call the Clearinghouse beforehand.
