C&IT PC CLINIC - INFORMATION
The WSU Computing & Information Technology (C&IT) PC Clinic provides limited service on non-university desktop and laptop (notebook) computers. This is a fee-based carry-in repair service for computers that are NOT owned by Wayne State University.An appointment is preferred. Please read the Terms of Service Agreement before you schedule an appointment so that you understand all service terms of the PC Clinic.
Currently, C&IT PC Clinic's work space is extremely limited, so keep in mind these important details:
- Hours of operation are Monday–Friday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
- An appointment is preferred — to make an appointment, e-mail pcclinic@wayne.edu or call (313) 577-5056
- Payment can be made by Credit Card (Visa/Mastercard) or Money Order, payable at the time the computer is picked up. NO cash transactions are accepted.
- Turnaround time is typically 3 to 5 business days. — If you need to use a computer while yours is being repaired, try one of the many that are available on the WSU campus.

Requirements and Warnings:
- Supported operating systems are Windows XP, Windows Vista and Mac OS X.
- Computer owners are responsible for backing up any data they do not wish to lose.
- Any software to be installed must have original DVDs/CDs, licenses, and product keys.
- PC peripherals (ex. your printer, digital camera, etc.) cannot be fully tested at the PC Clinic.

PC Clinic Terms of Service Agreement:
The Wayne State University (WSU) division of Computing & Information Technology (C&IT) provides limited computer diagnostic and repair services on supported personal computers of WSU students, faculty, and staff (Customer).
- C&IT staff may install software to clean and protect the computer while providing these services.
- Some services can erase files on the customer’s hard drive; therefore, it is the customer’s responsibility to make and retain copies of all data and program files prior to using the services.
- All payments are due in full before the computer will be returned to the customer.
